Short answerPalmcard is an app for Mac and Windows that hears both sides of a live call and shows you a private card with what you could say next. These are the questions people ask most, answered in a few sentences each, with links to the full pages.

Questions people ask

What is Palmcard?

A desktop app for Mac and Windows that listens to both sides of a live call and shows a private card with what you could say next, in your own words. It also prepares a brief before the call and writes a summary after. See how it works.

Does it join the meeting like a note-taker bot?

No. Nothing joins your call. Palmcard runs on your computer and listens to your microphone and the call audio.

Which meeting apps does it work with?

Anything that plays sound on your computer: Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Webex, Slack huddles and phone calls through your laptop.

Does it work on Windows?

Yes. Palmcard runs on Windows 10 (version 2004) and 11, 64-bit, and on macOS 13 or newer, Apple Silicon and Intel. Older MacBooks on macOS 12, like 2017 models, have their own download on the download page. On macOS 12 and 13 Palmcard hears the call through your microphone, so play it on the speakers. From macOS 14.2 it hears the call audio directly, headphones included.

How fast is it?

In our end-to-end tests the line appears 0.5 to 1.1 seconds after the other person stops talking. English uses the fastest transcriber, so other languages are a touch slower.

What happens when it does not know the answer?

It tells you to say so honestly, for example that you will check and come back today. It never invents prices, features or results that are not in your documents.

Can the other person see Palmcard when I share my screen?

The card is excluded from screen sharing and recordings on Mac and Windows. Some apps that use Apple's newest capture method can still capture windows that are excluded from sharing, so the safest habit is to share a single window or tab rather than your whole screen.

Do I need to tell the other person?

Yes. In the EU and many other places you must tell people when a call is transcribed. Say it at the start of the call, the way you would for any recording. Palmcard reminds you at the start of every call. See is it legal to use AI on calls.

Where are my calls stored?

On your computer. Transcripts, summaries and your documents stay local. While you talk, audio is streamed to our transcription provider in the EU, and the text of the conversation is sent to the AI service you chose in the app. If you want your calls on another computer too, you can turn on Keep my calls on my account, which stores each call encrypted on your Palmcard account. It is off until you turn it on. See security and privacy.

Which AI service does it use?

The one you select in the app, for example Cerebras, Anthropic, OpenAI, Mistral or Groq. Some of these providers are in the United States, so check their data retention settings and choose EU services where you need to.

Does it work if the whole call is in Turkish, Spanish or Hindi?

Yes, for the 25 languages Palmcard supports. In Settings you pick the language you read best and the language spoken on the call. Palmcard transcribes the call in that language and writes your line in it, with the meaning under it in yours. See live translation for calls.

What does it cost?

Basic is €9 a month for 3 call-hours, Starter €19 for 10, Pro €149 for 40 and Team is from €99 per seat. Founding members get 25% off for life. See pricing.

What's the cheapest way to try it?

Basic is €9 a month for 3 call-hours, enough for one or two real calls. There is also a free 3-day trial with 10 minutes of real calls, no card needed.

Can I cancel any time?

Yes, from your account. Plans renew monthly until you cancel, and your plan stays active until the end of the month you paid for.

How is Palmcard different from an AI note taker?

A note taker usually writes a summary after the call, often with a bot that joins the meeting. Palmcard helps during the call and listens through your computer instead. See AI note taker vs real-time call assistant.

Can I delete my data?

Yes. You can delete individual calls, or delete your account, which erases the account, the calls and meetings kept on it, your settings and every signed-in device straight away.

Is Palmcard good for teams?

The Team plan is for three seats or more and includes shared company documents, an onboarding session and one invoice. Write to prashant@studiolab.digital to talk it through.
